Game News Rick and Morty Creator Reveals FPS at Xbox Bethesda Conference
At the start of the Xbox and Bethesda conference, players were able to discover a game signed by Justin Roiland, the creator of the Rick and Morty series. Entitled High on Life, it promises completely barred games based on an arsenal as lively as it is lodger! Developed by the Squanch Games studio, the title was able to show itself for a few minutes. Let’s take a tour of what awaits us in this software scheduled for this year.
If you like bizarre wacky worlds, you’ll probably enjoy the universe featured in High on Life. In this FPS, the player finds himself catapulted into the role of a bounty hunter and must disentangle himself with friends, while enduring the sarcasm of his pistols, rifles and other machine guns. In development in the Squanch Games studio, High on Life promises to be a title to watch on Xbox Series X. At the origin of Trover Saves the Universe, the designers embarked on an even more ambitious challenge.
The savior of the world
When we say that High on Life is a crazy game, it’s not a joke. The player’s mission is indeed to repel an armada of extraterrestrials who have found nothing better than to use the planet, its inhabitants and its resources to manufacture…drugs! No question for the bounty hunter that you are to let it go. Considered the deadliest of all time, you’re going to have to stuff those pesky talkative guns and eradicate the menace. With this idea of insolent weapons, High on Life promises to be a rather unique adventure. The studio promises a varied arsenal, a crafting system to boost its inventory and numerous environments (dense and dangerous jungle, city built on an asteroid, etc.). For the moment, the game is still quite secret, but its artistic direction and its approach undoubtedly reserve many surprises. All that remains is to hope that the game benefits from a French dubbing worthy of the wacky design of all these weapons.
About the Summer Game Fest
What is Summer Game Fest?
No E3 this year, but we can still count on another world-class event: the Summer Game Fest, a big show dedicated to announcements of video games to come this year or the following years. It was in 2020 that journalist and host Geoff Keighley launched this now unmissable festival for the first time. Last year, the show featured stunning images from Elden Ring; so inevitably, the third iteration raises high expectations.
When does Summer Game Fest 2022 start?
The Summer Game Fest is this Thursday, June 9 at 8 p.m. The show will once again be followed by a Day of the Devs session devoted to the independent scene.
How to follow the Summer Game Fest 2022?
On JV, we will react live to announcements from the LeStream channel alongside Maxildan and Aymeric Lallée in particular. The program will also be directly visible as a teaser on JV’s homepage. And for those who prefer reading, you will of course find our news throughout the conference. A written summary will also be available
What is the program for Summer Game Fest 2022?
Among the games not to miss, there is in particular the heir to Dead Space, The Callisto Protocol, which shows us its first gameplay images. For its part Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 presents us with its first level. Also on the program: Gotham Knights, Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course, the first game from Aaryn Flynn’s studio (ex-Bioware) Nightingale, the JRPG One Piece Odyssey, the free-to-play Warframe or even Planet of Lana. Geoff Keighley further announced: “We have a few new game announcements for this show and hopefully a few surprises if all holds together. But it’s definitely a show that mostly focuses on things that are foretold.”
